A big screen adaptation of Capcom’s Monster Hunter will begin production in September this year, reports Variety.
Backed by German film production and distribution company Constantin Film, the movie will feature Resident Evil and The Fifth Element star Milla Jovovich in an unspecified role. It will be helmed by Jovovich’s husband Paul W. S. Anderson (writer of all six movies in the Resident Evil film franchise and the director of four of them).
The film, reportedly budgeted at around USD$60 million, is set to shoot in South Africa – just like 2016’s Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
